The Long Road to Justice

Chen Xiaoya, a bar waitress, catches the attention of a wealthy heir, Shen Hao, due to her beauty. Shen Hao uses his power and money to get her drunk and force himself on her. When Chen Xiaoya wakes up, she decides to sue him, but due to his powerful background and lack of evidence, the court instead charges her with extortion, causing further harm. Her father, Chen Jianjun, acts as her lawyer and supports her appeal, but she misinterprets his actions, believing he is colluding with Shen Hao, leading to a rift between them. Amid media pressure, Chen Xiaoya, feeling desperate, stands on the courthouse rooftop and ultimately chooses to end her life by jumping.
